Thanks to its extra versatile shape, the Key West Angel provides speed, performance and manoeuvrability.
With 5" in thickness, this ride is stiff yet lightweight, which makes transport and manoeuvring a cinch!

The 9'6" (289.6 cm) in length offer a great glide, even on longer distances. The slightly upward nose cuts through the waves and will allow you to ride fast whatever the conditions. The tail of the board was also designed to provide a better glide without compromising on manoeuvrability or stability.
A relatively short board, the Angel is very stable and manoeuvrable at the same time and will allow you to explore otherwise hard-to-reach areas.

The 3 fins make turning easier and are quite responsive. They make the SUP more stable and prevent its tail from slipping sideways. The Key West Angel is perfect for the light to medium-weight riders, It will do great on flat water and in small waves.

Tried and tested by passionate riders, Key West boards are designed to provide top performance at affordable prices. Every aspect of the production process has been thought through to make these boards stand out.

Construction of a Key West Board

Inflatable paddleboards don’t have a rigid shell. The deck and bottom of the board are joined together by a weaving of thousands of tiny polyester threads. This technology is called Dropstitch. The outside layer is made of reinforced coated PVC. An additional PVC layer called a stringer adds extra stiffness to the board.
Drop stitch is an amazing material used to build SUP boards, but it has also been used to make floating platforms and even airplane wings! Drop stitch allows to build inflatable SUPs that can be blown up to high pressure, up to 15 psi. This means you get hard board performance along with ease of transport and storage of an inflatable SUP.

Key West chose to equip their boards with next-gen valves. Say goodbye to the old ULI valve. Let us now introduce the push push valve ! How does it work?

1 – Unscrew the valve cap
2 – Push the button and turn it clockwise so that it is in Pin Out position.
3 – Connect the pump hose to the valve inflate outlet.
4 – Inflate until you reach the desired pressure.

The Angel paddleboard should be blown up to 12 tot 15 psi. Key West valves are really convenient and easy to use.

Manoeuvrable and Rigid

The Angel is the shortest board in the Key West range. An all-round paddleboard, the Angel is great for touring, surfing and crusing on flat water. With “only” 12 cm in thickness, it is realy stiff and can be used by riders up tp 70 kg!

A paddleboard, but not only!

Key West SUP boards are versatile. With less than 10 kg, the Angel is lightweight and super manoeuvrable!

Kayak mode

Little extra : this SUP can double as a kayak! Simply attach a kayak seat to the board and you’re good to go! This is one of the things that make Key West boards so unique and innovative!

Tow ring

A tow ring located just under the nose of the SUP will allow you to secure the board or tow it.

The Key West Angel features 3 fins : 2 built-in side fins and one removable centre fin. The side fins are very rugged. In case they bend out of shape while in the transport bag, simply pour hot water on them or use a hair-dryer and reshape them by hand.
The centre fin is 10" long and has to be inserted in the box rail and then locked into place with the locking pin.

The pad of a paddleboard is important when it comes to stability and manoeuvrability! The anti-slip pad will help you improve your balance and the crocodile-like skin structure is very soft and comfortable.

What's in the box

This Key West board comes with a transport bag with straps. This bag is handy and lightweight and allows for easy packing of the SUP board plus the included pump, leash, paddle and even extra equipment such as towels, dry bags.
Since November 2018, Key West SUP boards are delivered with a double action pump which allows for quick and easy inflation. Every stroke pumps 2 litres of air into the board and the pump can inflate up to 29 psi. Not only is this pump very easy to use, it is also very handy thanks to the foldable foot base and the adjustable handle. It can also be switched to single or double action.
A removable centre fin is also included, as well as a repair kit.

What you have to keep in mind

The length of a SUP board has an impact on its gliding/speed performance and on the turns. The longer the board, the faster it goes but also the more difficult it is to turn. On the other hand, a shorter board will be more stable but slower and more difficult to turn. Shorter boards tend to have 4" in thickness but the Angel has 5" which provides more stiffness and stability.
